Modernist ranges, wall ovens, built-in refrigeration, warming drawers. Now under Samsung — we service both the legacy and post-acquisition lines.
Dacor has had two eras: the independent California-based company (until 2016) and the Samsung-acquired Dacor (2016+). Older Dacor ranges and wall ovens have a cult following among Toronto chefs for their simple, repairable engineering. Post-acquisition Dacor integrates more Samsung electronics — newer models are more feature-rich but also more electronics-heavy. You see Dacor in Rosedale, Forest Hill, Yorkville, and high-end condos.
Pre-2016 ranges — igniters after 10+ years. TSSA G2 replacement.
Post-2016 Modernist line — touch panel failures after 5–8 years.
WD-series — element replacement, cheap part.
DYF/DRF — condenser and evaporator fan bearings.
RT series — individual burner valve replacement.
DYIT — individual zone failures, control board.
